Dehours & Fils Oeil de Perdrix Extra Brut Rose Champagne NV 21 base

The NV Oeil de Perdrix (21 base) shows kirsch, rose petals, mint and chalky lift over a delicately textured, weightless palate. The perpetual reserve adds depth without heaviness, while zero dosage keeps everything crystalline and pure. A truly ethereal, aromatic expression of Meunier rosé.

Description

Dehours & Fils has built a cult following for its expressive, terroir-first Meunier Champagnes. Oeil de Perdrix is the domaine’s signature rosé style: pale copper hue, long lees aging, and unique depth from the old perpetual reserve. The 21-base edition is feather-light yet vividly aromatic, combining kirsch, flowers, white pepper and chalk. Zero dosage preserves its tension and precision — a joy for rosé Champagne lovers.

Review:The NV Extra Brut Oeil de Perdrix is a stellar wine, quintessential Dehours. This release is 74% Meunier, 15% Chardonnay and 11% a perpetual reserve that goes back to 1989. Rich yet light on its feet, the Oeil de Perdrix is spellbinding in its beauty. Kirsch, rose petals, white flowers, mint, white pepper and crushed rocks are some of the many notes that grace this exquisite, ethereal Champagne. What an absolute joy it is. No dosage.
