Description
Sursis—meaning ‘reprieve’—is Tissot’s tribute to the idea of delay and elegance. This ouillé Chardonnay from Côtes du Jura is grown on the upper slopes of Château-Chalon, offering limestone-driven tension and minerality. The 2022 vintage shows flinty reduction, white citrus, and a chalky, focused texture that doesn’t need long to shine. A wine for Burgundy lovers wanting something thrillingly fresh and precise.

Review: | The flinty 2022 Chardonnay Côtes du Jura Sursis mingles reductive notes with grapefruit and lemon flesh. Forward and expressive, I suspect the medium-bodied 2022 won’t need much time to come around. Discrete bitterness adds to the sapid finale of this barrel sample. |
