Review:The 2022 Anjou Blanc Vent de Spilite is full of tension from start to finish, as if someone is hugging your palate really tightly. It has a lot of concentration due to the drought, which yielded concentrated berries (what's more, it's a windy site with shallow soil, exacerbating the drought conditions). Time in bottle will be necessary to allow its grip to loosen. I enjoy the grunty nature of the wine, as well as its ripe apple and spiced fruit, but it's not ready to drink.
